The Equinox – Chevrolet’s second-best selling vehicle – is available in four distinct configurations. Below, you can read about the new 2019 Chevrolet Equinox and all of the unique differences between each trim level.
2019 Chevrolet Equinox configurations
For 2019, the Chevrolet Equinox is available in four trim levels: L, LS, LT and Premier.
Chevrolet Equinox L
The entry-level L model comes with a long list of standard features including remote keyless entry, push-button start, a USB port and an AUX jack. Plus, there’s a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, built-in Wi-Fi,17-inch wheels and LED running lamps.
Standard driver assistance equipment includes a rearview camera and Teen Driver technology, which allows parents to control certain operating parameters when a young driver is behind the wheel.
L models are front-wheel drive only. Like the rest of the Equinox lineup, the base SUV is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine (170 hp, 203 lb.-ft.) mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Chevrolet Equinox LS
Next, there’s the LS, which builds on the L, with features like rear floor mats, a spare tire and jack. All-wheel drive also becomes available on this trim level. An option LS convenience package adds a power driver's seat and rear window tinting to the list.
Chevrolet Equinox LT
LT models get everything found on lower trims, plus, HID headlamps, a power driver’s seat, an upgraded infotainment display, roof rails and heated power exterior mirrors.
Additional powertrain options are also offered on LT and above trim levels. Choices include either a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder (252 hp, 260 lb.-ft.), which pairs with a 9-speed automatic transmission, or a 1.6L turbodiesel four-cylinder (137 hp, 240 lb.-ft.) mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Three packages are also available on the LT. The first is the Lights and Bright package with 19-inch wheels, chrome trim and LED lighting. Then, there’s the Infotainment package that adds a 120-volt outlet, an 8-inch touchscreen display, navigation and multiple USB ports. Last but not least, there’s the Sun and Navigation Package that includes everything found in the Infotainment package, along with a sunroof.
Chevrolet Equinox Premier
Top-tier Premier models pack standard amenities like leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming mirror, remote start and a 120-volt power outlet. Outside, there’s 18-inch wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, a sunroof, a luggage rack and heated power mirrors with turn signal indicators. Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert is included as well.
There are also two packages offered on the Premier. The first is the Confidence and Convenience II package that has features like automatic high-beams, a 360-degree camera, climate-controlled seats and heated outboard seats. Advanced driver assistance features – such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, adaptive cruise control and Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Braking – are also included.
The second available package is called Sun, Sound and Navigation. In the bundle, buyers get 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a Bose premium audio system and, of course, navigation.
